Interactive Content Licensing
We are committed to supporting indie game developers in every medium and would like to announce today that we are making IP licensing for Cyberside, and all subsequent IP’s related to the “Velvet Curtain Universe”, initially free to use for any producers of interactive content.
As a game development team or content creator, you can take any parts of our IP, including the related art and characters, and:
If you are producing a video, UGC (such as UEFN or Roblox), or a mod, you can make use of our IP and assets at no cost, provided you offer attribution to the extent that is possible in your medium.
If you are producing a commercial video game, we invite you to use our IP for no charge until the game grosses $1,000,000 USD in gross revenue after which we will request a royalty of 5% of gross revenue.
Prior to undergoing development, we request that, if you are intending to use any content, material, characters, dialogues or world specific objects, terminology and locations related to our iP for your interactive production, please contact us at licensing@cyberside.co.uk and we will be happy to engage and issue our standard licensing agreement for your review, the basic terms of which can be found above.
If for some reason, presented conditions do not work for you, we are happy to discuss a custom deal with you and figure out conditions that will suit the both parties.
We will also be happy to keep you informed about other projects in similar genres and categories, in case they are not yet announced at the website.
Optionally, we are happy to provide fee-based consulting services that will help you best utilize the Cyberside IP and other content from the VCU that might appear in the days to come.
We will be announcing our first slate of games using the Cyberside IP on 25th of May, 2025.
