Imagine a place where battered steel meets neon dust, where gunsmoke and code fragments swirl under the same haunted sky. That’s Lucky 13: Cyberside. It’s a card/board game that spins you a yarn about a ragtag group of desperadoes playing out a tall tale in some backwater saloon at the rear edge of kismet. But more than that, it’s a system:
Part bidding war like old-school Bridge or Pref — where players gamble with each other for the right to attempt their own outlandish contract.
Part blackjack — Shots vs. Misses, all culminating in that risky limit of 13 cards.
Part rogue-like progression — where repeated success or failure feeds into the next run, letting you weave bigger, bolder, and more lethal legends.
Players gather in a cosmic dive bar — the Lucky 13 Saloon. They boast and bluff about how they (or some legendary gunslinger, or both) performed the impossible. Shots ring out, Misses whiz by, Wounds pile up. And if your story falls short of epic, you collect Letters of Lying—till a certain dreaded phrase is spelled out in the air. Then the saloon hushes, and every occupant goes into the hush forever if you push it too far.
